Reed Switch Train Detector for the Lego RCX

Overview:

I wanted simple way to detect Lego trains passing over a section of track. I finally decided on using a reed switch instead of a light sensor, or a custom made light beam detector due to its small size, and still looks like Lego.

Equipment Needed:

• 2x4 Plate
• 2x4 Tile
• 9v Power Connector
• Reed Switch
• 22 Guage Wire (Optional)
• Resistors (Optional)
